    The Sweeney

So who's seen the film? Just watched it on Blu-ray

I gotta say I loved it. Ray Winstone as Jack Regan was epic - can you imagine anyone else playing him?
Ben Drew as Carter was clever

Wasn't sure what it would be like after hearing Nick Love was the writer and Director, wasn't sure whether he'd be up to it, although loved his previous films, but it's like he's come of age and left the 80's behind

Couple of homage's in the film, the shootout in Traf***ar square pays tribute to Michael Mann's "Heat" stands out though.

Sum up? Michael Mann's film was better to be honest, but when you consider Sweeney was filmed for less than 2 million, you have to appreciate how good it really is.

It's a master class for low budget movie making

    Fcukin have it!

    And off topic,

But the opening Bullion Heist was filmed at my old company's offices.... I was sitting there thinking "I recognise that warehouse" "I recognise that exterior walkway" etc and then saw where my desk used to be lol

But Nick Love is a fcuking Diamond Director (He'd appreciate that) - but I never expected it to look this "Big Budget" when it wasn't. Absolute master class

It's in my to-watch pile based on some glowing recommendations so I'm going to have to make time to watch it this weekend.

This. quite enjoyed the film but Winstone very nearly ruined the whole film. He was just bloody annoying throughout.
