A little update here, I've managed to find a low mileage sr to go in, around the 57,000 mile mark so fingers crossed its a good one, I picked it up at the weekend and have started my strip down
Nice one.
I'd offer to help but I'm allergic to SRs
Nice one
Let me know if you need any help
well done mate, hope you get it sorted ok
Right here is a little update, i got the engine out yesterday and started cleaning up the bay, it was a big regret from last time so i figured i may as well do it while i have access.

I have managed to get most of the ancillaries bolted to the new engine the flywheel, injectors are in and the turbo/ lines are all fitted and cleaned. Only thing left to do it to fit the alternator and ecu temp switch i think. then its time to get it all back in
Here's the new engine it looks really clean

Right so I had a pretty solid day on the car today, managed to pick up the last few bits I needed for the swap, I got a new spigot, solid steering bush and updated clutch pivot.

Once this was done I fitted the steering bush so the bay was ready for the engine

Here is the engine all built up, I fitted the start charge loom, swapped the temp sensors and oil pressure sensor before dropping it in.

Once it was in I pulled the rocker to fit an s14 one and check the spray bars, it all looks really clean and the spray bars were nice and clear.

The engine runs really well and starts with no vet rattle which is a massive bonus, i have a few little jobs to finish tomorrow but overall I'm chuffed its back in action.
Man you don't hang about ,well done for getting it up and running again so quick
I like how your engine bay is really clean and rust free. As above, well done on the speedy engine fit.
super work! these are amazing cars once they make some power ha.
that engine bay is so tidy, fair play!

Well I got all the bits and bobs fitted back into the bay, coilpack cover, strut brace and overflow resivoir so I figured it was time for a couple of pics and a cheeky vid of it starting. Was a big weight off to get her running again.
