Indeed Steve was a top lad as always and sorted me out some spacers to sort out my offset fail on the rear, I still need to drop the rear abit more but one of the locking collers is abit tight and I keep putting it off.

Think I need to rename the thread
    Mclean's / Steves S14/A budget skid build
Now he just needs to donate his complete z32 rear brake setup =p

    Small update
Left the car for a few weeks to let the clear coat cure then got cracking with the wet flatting

Made a right mess of the engine bay even tho I did cover it up.
It was a nightmare to clean up

    All done

I bought a front strut brace from a member on here who custom made it.
I didn't need it or want one but it was pimp and a total one off

One weekend I dug the cage out I had bought a few weeks prior and got it painted

Built it up in the garden

    Bought some bumper side markers

Steve rang me and informed me he was to be braking his 14 so his z32 rear brakes were finally mine.
I raped the credit card and bought some goodies

    Full z32 rear brake setup
Front and rear whiteline anti roll bars with drop links
Rear subframe with poly bushes and solid diff bushes
    Kouki/14a rear lights
    Apex front tension rods
    Apex rear adjustable arms

The Missus bought the shell with all the panels

As with all the whiteline Arb's the paint is shit and don't last 5 minutes,
I started to clean the rear ones up and gave them a lick of paint

After I hit it with a linishing disk with the grinder

Cleaned the drop links up best I could and ran a thread chaser up and down the threads and replaced the bolts with stainless steel ones

Took the car home for now as I've started to build Emma's new s14a at the workshop so it frees up some room up there, the plan is to fit all the bits I bought but I haven't really touched it, because of her's taking up all my time =(

I did manage to fit the Kouki tails one night

Cool project man! Orange cage should look pretty sick with the grey body! Should have done the roll bars orange to match...

Cheers man, I've always been a big fan of orange but I don't want to go to mad with it so
I painted them silver like they were when they were new

Small update Emma bought me a kouki spoiler for my birthday so I got my mum to go out and try it on
    Very happy with it

Got two apex seat rails off eBay from a guy local
Paid £60 for the two, which was a proper bargain so I sold the drives rail to Emma for £60 and now have passenger rail for free

Bought a carbon backed bucket seat off eBay from a fella in the next town, with the idea of using it as a passenger seat
Came out of a imported mx5 from jap land

Things have started happening again, it's been on hold for a good few months now while Iv been building the other half's
new shell, its not finished yet but i needed to crack on with my own haha, very pleased with it so far and we had such a blast doing it together.
For anyone who hasn't seen it Here's a few pic's

My car was totally neglected had a couple of flat tyres and was filthy

Managed to pick up a full set of rear Led rear lights in excellent condition
For a bargain price, then I sold my stock lights so these cost me nothing
    Happy days

Absolutely love them look great against the gunmetal

Fitted a set of black wing mirrors off Emma's old shell

Meanwhile I stripped down a spare subframe I have and all my alignment arms to be sent off for blasting and powder coating

While they were away I painted the rose joints myself as I didn't want them being wrecked by blasting

Few weeks later I bought the car back up the workshop to hopefully get all the underside done over Christmas
Treated her to a much needed wash and a oil and filter change.

As I was waiting on parts coming back I started working through the pile of parts iv been hording
3" stainless down pipe and decat
Had to make a bracket for the down pipe to gearbox,
    Rather pleased with it

Got my bits back from the powdercoaters and started to clean all the arms up, re grease them and build them back up

Thread chased holes in the subframe to remove any blasting granules stuck in the threads

Refitted the solid diff mounts and polybushes

Some of the polybushes were abit stubborn so got pressed in

    One complete subframe
