Oh I see now, I thought you were thinking of buying those wheels, not that you were already running them

Wheels would look OK in any other colour than chrome/black, which just screams HALFORDS! Black would certainly hide the fussy detailing

Kenwood is now in so it feels like my car inside now. Bloody Clarion PoS has swallowed one of my Foo Fighters CDs

175 quid for 12mths mate. Also just put petrol in for the first time and 30 gets you 3/4 of a tank. Weird having a sense achievement when you fill up

Have moved this as its now moving to full project status

    I can haz a plan

I have a HKS FCD from Paul88 ( so tuning boost levels and improving air flow can begin once that is plumbed in.

Do need some help with some techy aspects though. Mostly brake conversions. The brakes are the weak link in the YRV-T. They are bigger than the normal YRV but not much. Need ideas for a rear disc conversion

A FCD is that a good idea?

I've always seen it as a really dangerous way of increasing boost and a quick way to put a hole in the piston.
Surely something like a SAFC at least, if not a EMB or E-manage Ultimate would be better?

The fuel cut on the K3VET's ECU is far too low and before you can do anything at all (even a panel filter will cause fuel cut issues ) you need an FCD. I am not going to push the boost up much more than it is now. More so as to delete the OEM boost control to increase boost in first and second gear giving more bottom end

Meanwhile first e-manage that comes up for a good price I am all over it

I saw another one yesterday! Well, it was very, very similar anyway, was running like a BBS LM/mesh type wheel, had a bit of lows and it looked the tits.

Surely the 4WD versions have rear discs?

I seem to remember Daihatsu were quite close to Toyota in platform sharing (Yaris?) and Perodua as well more recently.

It's a shame Toyota has run them into the ground, now only making kei cars for Asia
