    Ford Mondeo ST diesel

    Hi folks.
My mate is thinking of buying a 2007 Mondeo ST. A diesel one.
Has anyone owned one? What are they like, common problems and things to look out for.

    Cheers.

    Same as any Mondeo diesel

    Injectors
    DMF
    EGR
    Starter motor
Rear calipers jam on or off
    Turbo

I imagine they are getting cheap now, lot of car for the money.

Cheers Mark. What they actually like to drive?
Neither of us has driven a Mondeo of this age.

Currently have a petrol one as a daily, subframe bushes are common but easy fix, arb bushes and links common too, all parts are pretty cheap being ford.

Very good car for the money, handles very well, comfortable, very good sound system as standard, boot is huge, all round im very impressed

Pretty sure subframe bushes were anoly a problem on early ones and were better on the facelift.
They drive well, the 2.2 TDCi lump has plenty of torque so they are awesome mile munchers. You need to find a good one though as if you get a dog it will bankrupt you

    Cheers folks.
Just seen one on autotrader for £2750. But it's got 184k miles!
    Cars a 56 plate.

NOTE: Exhaust system, Clutch & Flywheel, EGR Valve, Turbo Pipe, Alternator, Battery and Lume Cable all replaced at 148,000 miles.
