So I have moved into a house which will allow me to build a garage for my toys. Something that I have always wanted since I was a kid. The garage will provide me space where I can store my car and road bike but most importantly an area where I can work on them. I would love to be able to remove and replace parts, service and repair and upgrade parts ect on my car but have just never had the space to do so. This has meant I have had to usually pay a garage to undertake the work. This garage will allow me the space and enviroment where I can learn as a car enthusiast to do the work myself.
So the garage I intend to build. It will be 8m long and 4m wide and provide 32 sqm of space to store my car and motorbike. I intend to have a decent bench area to strip and rebuild parts along with a decent area for tools. I have a picture in my head how it will look but will take it a step at a time. I intend to do all the work myself as I am a bricklayer to trade. It will not be the quickest build as I have a lot of other things going on in my life at present but will be doing a little bit whenever I have free time and will get as many photo's up of my progress along the way.
So,today I marked off the area and lifted the existing monoblock where the strip foundation will be layed. Looks like a decent size. Took a photo from my bedroom as it shows the area better.
