Sounds good, will give it a go.

Always nice to start one of these shows a few seasons in too. You get the whole sophisticated flashback experience when you get round to catching up with Season 1.

Think I'll add it to the watch list.

Incidentally just started Marvel's Agent Carter and I'm quite liking, especially since Hayley Atwell has reprised her role

other than whats been mentioned there is Scorpion. It isn't too bad, kinda reminds me of Chuck sometimes, so if you liked that.......

Season 4 of Street Outlaws has started as well as House of Lies.

Halfway through the first season, Gotham is pretty good

Parks and Rec just started a new season and so has Portlandia.

I've started on Empire and so far so good.

    0bb4333eda.jpg

    Brief Synopsis:

About a family who run a Hip hop / RnB label thats grown so big, they are about to float on the stock market... Only thing is, the father who runs it has been diagnosed as terminally ill... He has 3 sons, a gay singer, a gangsta rapper and an accountant. All 3 battling to take over the business.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, Taraji P. Henson (who played the cop Joss Carter in "Person of Interest") is the Dope dealing Mom who has just got out of prison after doing a 17 year stretch for dope dealing and wants half the business because it was founded on $400,000 of her dope money.

Has a great sound track and is really entertaining.

If you like this, you need to watch "Power" from last year also

If you are a petrolhead, Roadkill on youtube is very good:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOYl...st=WL&index=36

It kinda reminds me of the top gear challenges from the old days, before they went all dickish and started trying to off road mint Esprits etc. Two guys who genuinely love cars cocking about

Also... those who download shows when they are released in US.... Do you download in 1080P? I've been downloading shows in 1080P DD5.1 but wondering if it is worth the extra space since most shows are broadcast 720P

I've not noticed any difference/improvement to be honest.
I prefer the broadcast material personally.

Audio quality is definitely an improvement with the WEB-DL files

If possible, yes. They might be broadcast in 720p/1080i but the 1080p shows are ripped from the iPLayer equivalents.

I have noticed a small difference and guessing that I can direct stream to clients rather than transcode.

Backstrom has started off well. Detective story where the lead is a pisshead, slob. More a black comedy than anything.

This may be worth a watch:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1740299/?ref_=tt_rec_tt

"Based on Philip K. Dick's award-winning novel and adapted by Frank Spotniz, The Man in the High Castle explores what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII, and Japan and Germany ruled the United States. Starring Rufus Sewell (John Adams), Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars) and Alexa Davalos (Mob City). Executive produced by Ridley Scott (Blade Runner). Written by Amazon Studios"

Think it's just a pilot at the moment, but the ratings seem good so hopefully amazon will pick it up...

Also worth mentioning as I know a few people use Plex - they still haven't fixed their gaping security holes, and it seems hackers are actively seeking out plex servers, compromising them and selling access on the black market..

    https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/top...security-hole/

I'd recommend disabling direct external access to the plex server, add a manual connection in any plex client and using a VPN for remote access... Bit of a PITA, but saves some cheeky fecker downloading all your content then deleting it
