    The new Detailing Jem workhorse!

Today I finally got a free day to spend on my car and get it shiny. A lot of you guys will remember I had a blue Corsa B, which is now owned by our every own Deacon!. I've not had this car on the road long and the previous owner hadn't taken great care of it at all, typical swirls all over the place and a lot of scratches including the big one in the picture!

    Scratch before:

    Scratch after, well what scratch

    And the finished car:

Is it better if the beading is smaller or larger? I've had both on my car on different occasions

Neither is better really, but ideally the beads should be tight beads and very keen to run across the surface. But beading doesn't really tell you much about the protection, freshly corrected paint will bead well with no protection on it at all, or you could take a very uncared for vehicle, spray some WD40 onto a cloth and wipe it over and that will bead well too. But a good wax or sealant with, typically, bead well. It looks pretty though!

I'd say this one looks better, the paint is dry other than where the beads are, the other picture looks like the wax is just starting to fail.
