Just read through the whole thread, definitely impressed with the work going into this rebuild! it's satisfying just to watch! Can I ask about your rear lights? are they red tinted stock items? Cheers!

Have you looked inside the cooler to see if it has any diff oil in there ?
To be honest I didn't even think of checking, and I've had it all off
Cheers dude appreciate your comment, yes they are standard lights that have been tinted with red tinting film, it's a very professional job because you can't even see where the film joins, I do have to run green bulbs for the indicators to make them legal as they were plum red when flashing when I first got the car (lights were already tinted when I got it)
one S13 and three 14a's and all had empty dry dusty coolers, I think one of them had drop of diff oil in one of the pipes (poss the 13)
but they were all corroded on the outside, only my 23k miler 14a diff cooler was ok looking tbh
And that's freaky weird the pump ran up with no battery on the car!,
I would have been like paranormal activity! Am I gonna get abducted by aliens (again)
rapidly leave garage and look for intense bright lights in the sky on journey home lol
I'll have a look next time I get the car in as I haven't connected the pipes up yet
Yeah it was some freaky shit, my mate giving me a hand was like wtf was that, knew it was the pump as I had my hand on it at the time and we both stood there with various confused expressions on our faces lol
Right your probably think ahh maff should have this car nearly done by now..... Wrong! Keep getting delayed by me spending money on shiny bits and the powder coaters being backlogged for 3 weeks at a time! So here's where I'm at now
After waiting 6 weeks for the rear calliper rebuild kit from Nissan Japan I've put them all back together
Removed all front suspension/subframe for powder coating and painted all inner arches with POR-15
Bought myself a Nismo power brace from a member on here
Oh and did a bit of a bank breaker and got this imported Tomei Expreme Ti TITANIUM IS SO PRETTY!
And just me taking loads of random car pictures

Hmm tapatalk seems to have downed their image upload quality >:/
Awesome mate, keep this up!
Be very careful with the Ti exhaust. They can crack easy. So just try and brace it and no stress on it etc. They look soooo good though. And will sound the B0llocks.
But I must say that im VERY annoyed myself and for you mate with the useless bodyshop that done the car. Im shocked and they are obviously dodgy which I didn't know about back then. Avoid them everyone. Lemass bodyshop !!
So no more 200sx paranormal activity to report then ,,,,visions of the car upside down on the 2 poster or something weird
nice load of bits to go on the car there especially that zorst thats sexual with all them little welded segments and the spring loops etc
good to see its progressing nicely
It's annoying but it's fixable and this time it'll be done properly so at least I'll have piece of mind, I'm just glad neither of us had an accident because that would have folded up like a wet paper bag the way it was siliconed together, the exhaust should be ok as s13 ones have a middle hanger, it's the s14 ones that don't and causes them to crack
So I'm still waiting for my parts that should finally be powder coated by the end of the week, glad it's my last lot as I've been waiting a month now, but I made another purchase earlier this week
and now you go and buy something else I want for mine, not jealous at all (well a tiny bit)
curious how much and where from, can't afford it atm but handy to know for future
I used steel one piece props on my old escorts (mk1 mex rs2000) years back, more direct a bit lighter and loosing the center bearing/CV joint will gain a
teeny bit less drive train power loss, aluminum versions for the escorts were for the insanely rich (gartrac) or custom made (for the insanely rich)
the static weight saving on yours will be a fair amount (let us know what it weights verses the stock prop please)
and in theory it should improve acceleration a smidge, less flywheel effect spinning enertia or what even its called
as ever a cool build and good to read progress
I suspect it came from Steve's as I know he's breaking his 13 and that has a one-piece ally prop although Steve is running an SR so maybe not.
jammy git , yep I spotted it was aluminium, I have no idea what the stock steel prop weights in at but I bet that is loads lighter
one of them and plenty of other (expensive) parts are on my short list for mine
I have enough bits to squeeze about 350 out of my CA any more will involve cams/bigger turbo = £££'s
so I have gone for ocd weight reduction to increase power to weight,
but so time consuming making things lighter I regret starting that route now, should have got the engine finished and back in 1st
when the weather was better for outside work
I haven't forgotten your weights for both the props, I'm going to go use the weigh panel over in the mail centre once I've finished my break
Weight reduction isn't for me, I like my luxuries of full interior etc, but if I buy things that lose a few kilos without compensating on anything it's a winner (plus I had a few wobbly prop issues in the past but shhh)
I regret starting my build sometimes it was only meant to be a winter tidy up lol
But now I just keep thinking about when it's done and all the shows I can go to and bore people with build stories and before and after pictures
And how crazy stupid fire breathing dragon wheel spinning monster machine no more rustiness the car will be
