    It lives!

After a mild panic that I wasn't getting any oil pressure, followed by bit of swearing, a lot of prayer, some identification of stupidity and quite a bit of patience and we're up with plenty of pressure.

Well, it's going to need some kind of system if only for performance. It'll be a straight through 2.5" single pipe to the rear, splitting into a pair of jap cans, I think.

    Noooo, no 'Jap cans'!
Hide all the silencers, two single small bore straight cut plain pipes out the back!

Well, the thought behind jap cans is that it's very easy to install bungs in them. They'll be hidden anyway, with the tips coming out of the sides of the rear bumper, as I want them tucked out of the way to allow me to fit a diffuser.

Something like this would work as well, I suppose.

Does or doesn't look out of place?

It's wider at the top compared to an LSx, as it's quad overhead cam, but fitment in terms of dimensions was pretty straight forward - no major engine bay modifications required. Lots of fab work required for mounts etc and the MX5 has a weird PPF (bracket that runs from the box to the diff) and no gearbox mount as stock.

300bhp and 300lbft out of the box
