If your planning on putting all that power thru a live axle on an escort your gonna need this : calencar.free.fr/escort/tech/FordEscortRallyPreparation.pdf

    Hope the link works .
Get that Atlas 4 (or 5) linked and the dampers turreted and find out just how well an old escort can really handle

Cool good to see progress and bye bye X flow
the engine/box etc should fetch a few quid re selling
And the OE bmc/servo on the bracket can go to free up some needed space for the SR's inlet plenum etc
I had a remote servo on mine from a Rover p6 v8 mounted under the dashboard passenger side
and ran it into a AP lockheed bmc on the bulkhead,
All my knowledge on mk1 's is old ,like the BMC from a hillman imp worked well
and the remote servo from a hillman hunter was a smaller brake servo option

No idea were to source a remote servo these days, BMC's can be had from Demon tweeks (bit dear prices imo)
    Larkspeed and others

wish I still had mine (kept it 22 years) I wanted to do a yb200 cossie swap into mine but the cost was silly dear
back in the day, this was long before I got into turbo'd rusty old Datsuns
the only pic I have of my old mk1 https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/...17&oe=553D874B

Going to buy a pedal box as we need to have hydraulic clutch , engine box and exhaust have basically been sold but I imagine most stuff we remove can be sold on
Oh and cool pic bet you miss it

Cool,a pedal box will sort things and you will have options on the BMC sizes
(if you run separate cylinders for F&R with a bias bar)
you don't really need a servo/booster if the BMC bore sizes are right it will not need the servo effect

And yep do miss it,I got in 1988 when they were really cheap, it had 2ks worth of rollcage buckets harness's etc
built a near full race X-flow for it,2000e corsair gearbox etc,got it running sweet then run out of cash
with the on set of children and other life expenses
22 years later I broke it up sold bits and then the rolling shell, sort of made out of it as the prices had gone up
in the 22 years I had it
At the same time I had my homemade RS2000 mk2 'scort (was my daily) and I had a mk3 xr3 and a series 2 RS turbo
so I had a fleet of 'corts mk1 ,mk2 ,mk3,and mk4 (quite proud of that)

Came across this in my archive of escort pics :

Looks a bit of a squeeze , and you wouldn't be able to mount a remote servo where I had mine :

But i'll second what Andy said , you don't need a servo in an old escort. I later removed mine and ran without and it was fine. That was with a homemade pedalbox with a single brake and clutch master cyls (didn't need biased brakes on a road car).

My 2 options are rally spec tunnel or find a breaker 200 and cut complete tunnel with gearbox mounts , I also need top part of the 200 dash that sits above the clocks to graft together with mk1 dash as I'm going to be fitting 200 clocks

Good to see progress with this, looking in the bay I remembered you can get an anti-dive kit for the front anti roll bar on these,
And it doubles as a good strengthening brace between the chassis rails as well to stiffen up the front end
just had a look and they are like half the price I paid way back in the late 80's

A quick rack 2 and 1/4 turns lock to lock was a nice mod on the old escorts as well, if it hasn't got one already of course
