Hey all,
I got zero brains with cars , so bit of info if u can...

Looking to buy a banger, to use to get to and from work, save adding more miles to my 150k S14a..... don't want to spend much either...
Got the option to pay £595 for a 54 plate Saab 9-3 which still has 6 months MOT on it (I only need the car for 3 months)....
The Saab 9-3 1.9 Diesels don't hold there value anyway, but this is a lot cheaper from one of those dodgy home trader guys who operate out of petrol stations!
But the car is listed with a Noisy Thrust Bearing... Guy on the phone said it will carry on driving OK for many miles, but said you can hear the noise ?

Soooooooooo, if its a noise which I can drown out with the stereo, then in theory, I should be able to drive this car 110 miles per day and not give a dam about this bearing until I try to sell the car ??? Is a thrust bearing just that, a bearing that is worn, so needs replacing to make the noise go away ?
