Look better in the pics than they really are Chris Stonechip will hide a multitude of sins

Rubber blocks glued on the tank with Evo stick

I'm suppose to be sorting the rear sills out but as usual, doing things with mucho randomness

There is nothing in the world like rear sills to induce procrastination

Its such a horribly complex set of shapes and such little reward

I do indeed, that's why this isn't finished. Been at it 12 months now Bit the bullet today though -

    Cut the sill stiffener out

Then split this other stiffener from the inner sill

    New piece being cut

Bottom of arch needs chopping out and all

Suppose it's allowed to be rusty, you forget its 25 years old

Mine has plenty of seam sealer and waxoyl round there now , not going through that again

Problem is the bottom of the sill at the front of the arch seems to catch water and it just sits there

I'll get plenty of protection around that area. I've also seen the water puddling at the front of the arch

    Blasted the sill lip

Then sprayed Electrox in the seams and closed them up.

Just the sill repair to do on that side now.

Had the alternator refurbed. One of the bearings was a bit squeaky, also had new brushes fitted

PAS pump fitted, just the alternator pulley to sort and the engine is ready to drop in - pity I have nothing to drop it into

I can see light at the end of the tunnel now I'm sorting the rust down the OS sill at the moment and the sills need welding up. Then the shell is ready for paint. I'm gonna take the doors, bonnet and hatch off to do a proper job. I'm trying to clear out the garage (haha) to spray everything in there but need to stick a half built Mini somewhere 99% of everything else is done, Ive just a few bits to blast and paint. Everything I've refurbed so far has been wrapped up and stored in boxes. The problem is the boxes are just full of "random" parts It's going to be one monumental jigsaw puzzle when I come to re assemble it Expect some "where does this bit go" posts
