Finally have an S13

Picked it up today. 😀
Needs a fair bit of bodywork, but it's pretty solid underneath the previous owner having owned it for about 12 years and most of the serious structural work has already been done. Needs a patch here n there but main things are the rear arches. Anyway, few crap fone pics i took before it went in the garage :








Plan is to strip the interior out to check it the condition of the floor, after that its sort the body, engine, suspension in that order. I'll get paid up membership and get a project thread started soon. Aim to make japfest next year. 😀

Actually, to be honest I'm not sure i like the spoiler either. 😜
Got a receipt for it in the service history, came from japan aparently, standard fit on the jdm S13 according to the info, not so sure though.
It'll probably be taken off.

Kouki type x rear spoiler although without the rest of the kouki kit it looks a little strange!

It must be worth something because people make kouki replicas all the time and would need one of those to make one.

Post up another thread with the word Kouki in the title and something like "What is this ?" and you'll get interest from the bodykit and JDM boys

Dunno if they're still fashionable, if they are you might get a few hundred quid for it, imo it looks too bizarre on a standard UK s13 to warrant staying on there, check out some pics of a genuine 180sx kouki type X to see what it should look like.

Yeh had a look at the full kit, looks really good but the kit with the lights is just silly money. I don't like the spoiler and I'm never gonna get the kit so it's coming off and going up for sale.
Had it out of the garage again today just to have a poke around with my trusty corrosion assessment tool....






Corrosion isn't as bad as i feared, definitely seen worse bought back from the dead. Boot is full of spares including a nice S14 brake upgrade, got silly amount of spares still to collect still, 12 years worth of various accumulated S13 parts.

Looks like my first one, dont worry about the arches, easy fix, althought the paint might be a pita to match.
