Rear wheel not centre in arch

    Hi,
My passenger side rear wheel is not centre in the arch and is causing rubbing issues, not to mention it looks stupid.
I've had the tracking done and all the settings matched the drivers side with no anomalies so I'm stumped.

Nothing seems bent and no signs of crash damage, tried listening off the subframe and shifting it but it doesn't move at all.

    Cheers
    Liam

Were you present at alignment dude? Ive heard about cars that have had their alignment adjusted via the traction arms to set the camber and toe, rather than keeping the traction arms at a set length and adjusting the specific camber and toe arms to achieve the desired alignment specs. Food for thought definitely.

Go and measure the traction arms on both sides, if they're the same length then something is bent.

Traction arms are near enough the same, maybe like 3-4mm in but not a huge difference.
    These are the alignment settings.

Could be the subframe that may be slightly bent if it's not the traction arms. You ever had any incidents with a kerb in your ownership?

3-4mm length difference sounds massive to me. Which side is shorter? The one with the issue

Aye 5mm is the total extended length for correcting a lowered car, so 4 mm difference between both sides is a large difference.

Plus subframe could be on slightly out of square.

4-5mm at roughly halfway up a lever from its pivot will make 10mm or more at the end of the lever.

its caster that is the problem and on print out there is no rear caster measurements thats why everything looks fine on print out

Caster comes into play when the wheels turn to steer. Unless he has HICAS then his rear wheels aren't steering so as such there isn't any caster adjustment on the rear.

    Another good call.

Best option, fit some standard traction arms or adjust yours to standard length. Get it on a proper four wheel alignment machine and they should be able to see the difference in wheelbase length once all settings are corrected. If nothing is bent I'm still going for subframe not mounted square if you've had it off for a refurb.

When I had my car set up he commented that I 'only' had an 8mm difference between wheelbase lengths side to side. Apparently cars can come out of the factory up to 15mm out

There is no rear caster adjustment as such. I've tried shifting the subframe back, even using a scaffold tube to try move it to no avail.
It's no the over fender as this wheel rubs the side skirt which isn't mounted on top of the fenders.
Any suggestions as to who to take it to around Oxfordshire.

I've used nispro before but I think Walton has broken his leg apparently ??

    Cheers

You could try Auto Torque out towards Westcott

Are both your lower arms the same way around?
