    Weekender feedback thread

    From those who attended,

each year we try to make things a little better and in the usual spirit we are always keen to hear feedback both positive and negative
so that we can improve again for next year.

    So have at it

Really enjoyed that and would go back again.

    Positives :
Good track, very well run, track staff professional and helpful
Great idea using cafe at track for breakfast and lunch
Really friendly mix of SXOC people with zero issues
Whole weekend with timetable seemed better organised
    Enjoyed quiz
    Having never seen Fireball before...

    Suggestions :
Being picky the camping location was not great, appreciate it's hard to follow Anglesey and Prescott Hill lovely scenery, but it did feel like we were camped in a car park
Games - regional tug of war etc, they are normally a good laugh, wheel change and down a pint etc

An excellent weekend all round, appreciate the efforts of a lot of people went into that

I would re-iterate Scottie although the camping was fine for what it was.

As I said in the thanks thread - I think it was a good idea to use the tracks catering facilities, not cos I don't think we have been poor in the past - simply that nobody end up working all weekend when they could be enjoying themselves and other people don't have to worry about the logistics of buying food etc.

p.s. who 'provided' the tea and coffee and water - was that the track or the club.

a few more games and stuff to bring people together earlier and for longer,
    - tug of war, wheel change, Giant Jenga, Giant Cconnect4, have all be done in the past and worked well.
    - Kids party games, apple bobbing, Simple Simon, musical Chairs
    - forfeits (first spinner, last arriver, last booker.
    - Karaoke,

Massive thanks to Scottie who while he was at euros managed to pick me up some rear pads as mine basically fell apart for some reason.

    Big thanks for that :-)

Positives, excellent venue, excellent food and atmosphere.

The only negative thing from me from a club point of view (everything else was positive) was that giving out the wristbands and signing names off wasn't as organised as it was at Snetterton.

I've only been to these two weekenders so just going on the previous year where we had to go up and sign off when we arrived with our forum name and get the wristband and free sticker/tshirt etc.

Positives: Food, much better than last year; itinerary/schedule was great; the tunnel under the track

As said, tug of war and some silly kids party games would be a laugh

Only downside for me was the small showers of which 1/2 didn't work too well.

Noise curfew required the night before the track day. Other than that....

Positives - On site catering, pit garages, loads of track time, fireball, awesome people, Friday nights curry

Negatives - Boiling brake fluid, dehydration, standard s14 seats, sunday mornings baconaster (quickly sorted though), the marquee nearly blowing away during the raffle

All in all, a good weekend was had. I seemed to keep finding myself on a clear track for about 3 laps, just getting into things when my brakes would decide enough was enough and I had to come in The track supplying water and tea/coffee all day was brilliant, especially so as it was so warm.

    Here's to next year

its little touches like that, that make a difference. Rockingham was a very good choice of venue and like someone said they looked after us. but I really really wouldn't like to be on track in the wet. scary

Yep, thats done. Noise curfew night before trackday will also be implemented, Id imagine catering on the Saturday is going to be a feature now as well as it made life sooooooo much easier.

Was only there saturday but the track catering was a great idea as was the couple of drift laps, would be good to see a few more cars up for that.

Parade lap was great and the best yet but would be good to get the cars better organised e.g 13/14/15 on the front row and then S bodys only for the first few rows

    Less wasps please

I wouldn't be opposed to mixing the drifting in, would it be possible to say that for the last 20 mins of every hour, i.e. 0940 to 1000 and 1040 to 1100 and so on, the track is open to drifters, and the other times grip only?
