I've been using por15 products for years and my dad even longer.

It's amazing stuff, sets rock hard (as in hit it with a hammer and doesn't mark) and really does its job. I painted a test piece of mild steel straight over rust and left it on the floor outside for over a year. No rust got through the paint and it was as touch as ever.

The only thing with it is you have to follow the instructions to the letter. Miss a step or try and improvise and it will peel off like wallpaper. Do it correctly though and it really is very good.

I have used bilt-hammer hydrate 80 after grinding off the rust to treat the carbon that was to hard to get rid off. Then a few coats of por15 and it set the same as if it was straight to rust.

I would do a few test pieces before you start using it in anger to make sure you got the technique down. Ad do not get any of it on you, it will not wash off and you will have to wait till it wears off naturally (I. E. Months) .......ask me how I know

Chassis wax is amazing stuff and very satisfying. Such an amazing feeling when you peer in and see all the dodgy primed steelwork covered in lovely wax.
