I'll be in a turbo'd MX5 too.
Where all the s-bodies at?
The just cost so much to track.... Was costing me about £1k per track day repairing mine
Rockingham will cost me ~£1300 by the time the cars back
What did you do Tim?

Engine rebuild??
Head gasket on the final run at Rockingham - so that's about 700-800. I also got new rear calipers, new pads, new tires etc.
Really could have done without the engine going
Seem alot for a hg replacement. I guess your doing a top end refresh too. At least its done now anyway.

Skimming block and Head, replacement piston etc - will probably also make a visit to Jez to make sure she's fuelling right too once back on the road.
Stupid cars....
A full refresh then. Any extra goodies going in?

No - Probably should have got forged pistons. But then it's not like I'm planning for mega power so probably didn't really need to..
Damn, I'd love to come to this but I am flat broke
That's a bargain for a full day at Combe too!

Im down for this, as soon as i know the full date and get work off ill send the payment over. Been to Castle Combe several times but not done a proper trackday there before.
I'm keen to go but what prep should be done? My brakes are new. Hardly done any miles since oil change had plus and map recently. I need alignment doing what else to consider?
Check your tires, Check your brake fluid (Or just change it to be safe). Check coolant is healthy. Ensure wipers will still work properly at Motorway speeds ( )
Essentially make sure the car is safe
Spare brake pads, make sure your cooling is up to the job, service etc. helmet and brave pills also needed.
