Hey i have polybush inserts which you put in with your existing bushes!
I have bushs so you have the steel outers then do they just press in
Also just another thought if I buy solid subframe bushs they do away with the standerd nissan inserts
No sorry! These are polyurethane inserts which slot into the holes in your existing bushes to help stiffen them up! The steel outer bits should be stuck to the rubber part! It sounds as if you either need to buy a complete new bush or put in solid bushes!
Poly subframe and solid subframe bushes require you to remove the complete oem bush (centre sleeve, rubber and outer sleeve) so you are left with just the sleeve that forms part of the subframe.
Locking collars / pineapple rings require oem bush to stay in place (fitted by loosening subframe mounts, insering collar top and bottom and re-tighten subframe)
Never seen the polyurethane inserts personally.
Sounds like the op means the shim part that everyone cuts out to fit aftermarket bushes
Solid subframe bushes will fit right in there.
Check this YouTube video that shows exactly what you're talking about:

If you struggle to fit them throw the solid mounts in the freezer and they'll shrink a touch and make it easier to fit

Polybushes will go straight in as well!
Thanks guys
Little tip also, if you want to get the new bushes in square, get some super long bolts and flat washers, put the bushes in, thread the bolt through washer on each side and nut on the end, and wind it in!

Hi Guys,
i heard something on a different forum that has given me an idea.
can we inject the old bushes with tiger seal and effectively have PU/rubber bushes???
Oh it was a bottom engine mount on the mr2 as apparently they are very rare

PU stuff usually cures within a day or so.
Instead of me making a new topic on this I'll just pop this here.
Can you still buy normal Nissan bushes? I don't want to make my car stupidly stiff and bone breaking
