Cars on the Green 19th June 2016

Trying this again as we couldn’t get the numbers together last year, mainly due to it being father’s day and other last minute engagements. You can bring your dad if he wants a day out too – Mine would love it!

In terms of the cars, it's very similar to Duxford and Helmingham but this is 100% charity based and as such the ENTRY IS FREE with charitable donations appreciated.

There are trade stands, food vans, and amusements for little ones. All sorts of machines are on display from vintage tractors to the likes of Lambos!

Here are a few pictures on their page from last year so I'll let those do the talking... http://www.buryretrocarclub.co.uk/pa...st&category=12

This is a charity event and is therefore open to both members, guests, and their children/dogs etc, and all regions.

I've booked 10 spaces.... So, who can commit to coming and help make this a regular event for us?

So with Duxford well and truly out of the way I thought I would give this a bump.

So who else fancies this then? There's only 10 spaces and three have gone, so be quick!

    Updated.

I'm still waiting on the tickets for this, which should be with me by the end of the week. As a result, we'll need to meet somewhere on the day for me to hand them out. I'll see if I can find somewhere with speedbumps.

My apologies that some information has been a bit slow in being published - I'm still waiting for the tickets and entry information to be sent to me. At the moment it's looking like we will need to meet up for me to give the tickets out prior to entry. Provisionally, this will be Sainsbury's in Bury St Edmunds and meeting at 9am.

Hope this is okay with everyone coming?

Okay, I now have the tickets, so if we can all meet at 8:45 at Sainsbury's in Bury St Edmunds on Sunday (postcode IP32 7EJ), I will give the tickets out, then we can head over about 9 and start queing for the show at 9:15. It's only over the road from Sainsbury's.

    See you there.

There's still a couple of spaces if anyone wants to come?

See you at 8:45 at Sainsbury's for the ticket distributionings.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyomne that ventured out. It was a great day and the weather stayed nice. Plenty to see and do, and what made it particularly great is that everyone seemed to want to speak to everyone else about their pride and joy regardless of what you drove. Something you don't see enough of these days - A true car enthusiatst show!

I'll share a link to their FB page as there's a couple of videos on there and a load of pictures.

    https://www.facebook.com/carsonthegreen/

I'll definitely make sure this is one to stay for future years.

Thanks again to all that came and I hope to see you all at Helmingham in August - http://sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?5...gham-Hall-2016

Edit - A quick link to the cars on the green Youtube Video where you can see our stand at 17mins 15secs
