    2005 Audi TT front removal?!

    Hey guys,

My mum has acquired a TT with noisy tappets which has now seized and made a nice hole in the block!

We are currently deciding wether to sell it on or fix it by swapping the engine out. 1.8T fwd.

I am seeing lots of pics with the front of the car removed which makes things much easier.

What i want to know is wether there is a front removal guide anywhere? Ive searched online but nothing really pops up. I assume the bumper, rads, headlights etc all come off as one.

    Cheers

If it's like mine it's quite easy. Rad/intercooler bumper and slam panel. Depending on which way the engines fitted it may all need to come off for a cam belt change so might be part of that guide?

Its typical fwd format so hopefully its fairly simple. I guess its one assembly when it comes off.

Need to take both from wheels off and drop both arch liners down to get easy access to the bolts that hold the bumper on. Not difficult, just time consuming. That's the most I've done on one of these

That would just be the front bumper, the rest would need to be taken off individually. I wouldn't even attempt to take off the whole front end in one go. It'll be really heavy, a pain in the arse to disconnect everything without missing something.
