Made one bracket from 1/2" gauge plate but waiting for a M12x1.25 tap to allow me to retain the standard bolts.

Must be this time of the year - I've just been working on alfa calipers on murano 320 discs (to suit 17" rims) and maserati 4200 calipers with discs to suit the s14a:

I think i got genuine Brembo pads from ebay for £28 delivered. They are the same as volvo v70r and s60 iirc.

    What brackets are they?

i was going to try the ds2500 pads, ive heard good things about them, and dba 4000 series discs, and the brackets are made by alpha omega, they designed the evo x 350mm disc kit using evo 7/8/9 brembos apparently

Cool 2500 are good pads, i had ebc blues on my old Evo setup which i felt were a little better bite wise but wore the disc quicker.

Slightly random but are there any places that do caliper refurbs rather than rebuilds are the seals etc are fine I just want them refreshed in a different colour. Want to keep with my old theme black with white writing

To do a proper refurb they will need to be stripped down anyway so will need new seals at least. Give them a good rub over with fine sand paper to key and a splash of caliper paint for cheapness.

Should i paint the brackets for now and get them zinc plated at a later date or just leave them bare and bead blast the surface rust off when the cars off the road again? Does paint affect the zinc taking like leaving a residue.

My calipers have a hard anodise on the bolt to hub face so wouldn't be direct to ally. I wouldn't paint the faces that they mount against anyway just in case it affects the tightness of the bolts when it all heats up.

Got these fitted and went for a test drive, slightly more brake travel but no different to the Evo Calipers. Plenty of clearance too for wheel washing purposes.

It took me ages but I got my setup on now jon. They look tiny in this pic due to the 18" wheel but are massive in person. Haven't had a chance to test them though

Is that with the Alpha Omega brackets for the Evo setup? Been looking at them instead of fitting my 345mm DB Power brembo kit but they are pretty expensive now the £ isn't worth a ****.
