Just a couple more small updates...

I get money every year from my company to do a "learning activity" - having exhausted most of the driving related ones, but wanting to do something involving my car, I opted for an "advanced driving for performance cars" course! 8 hours of driving in a Silvia, couldn't think of anything better Fortunately the company are happy to do it in 2 lots of 4 hours (which suits my family life better) so here are a couple of photos of Yuki after her first outing, dirty but satisfied as she was encouraged to make the most of some of the windy lanes we have between Stoke and Wales

And this is just a silly little photo of her after she arrived at a local interior specialists unit last night for her first ever sleep over as she is getting a custom gear gaiter made for her - partly because the one in her doesnt fit her properly (looks like an aftermarket knob was added - a bloody heavy one at that) and also because the numpty that installed my alarm managed to break ALL the clips on the plastic part that holds the bottom of the gaiter into the centre console It will get crafted today so I am looking forward to seeing the final product this afternoon

...And here is the gaiter done! I bloody love it! Will match my steering wheel when I eventually get a horn cable () so I can install it, and the other carbon bits that will appear over a period of time

    Thanks petrol!
Yes the guy who did it does a lot of bespoke interiors stuff for classics, minis, campers etc, if I ever decide to get the rear seats trimmed to match the recaros he's where I'd go

Went to my local Nissan dealership today to pick up my new badges! OEM shadow chrome, thought they would look the dogs on a white car
Just need to find some time to get the bottle to stick them on haha - although not the bonnet one, that ones waiting for a carbon bonnet!!!

Sadly despite having the last week off, between the bad weather and managing to contract flu I havent been able to do anything I had planned for my poor Yuki :'(

However, from the sofa I was able to find a local car key cutter to see about getting a spare key cut for her... Literally the day after picking her up the top of the key fob case broke and couldnt go onto a keyring! Nissan wanted almost £200 to replace the whole lot, despite me saying that I didn't need a proper functioning transponder key because the aftermarket alarm did the immobiliser stuff... Anyway the local key cutter was also a bit unsure if the transponder inside was still required so he said he would see if he could squeeze me in between jobs just to take a look at it and then we could take it from there. He popped over this morning and said he would take the transponder part off first and try the ignition, and if it worked he would just cut me a simple metal key - anyway when he took it all apart, turned out that its actually a normal key with a plastic button case! Who'd have known! I certainly wouldnt as when I have seen these style keys of other vehicles taken apart it is literally a metal key part and a plastic fob NOT a whole metal key So no money spent, a nice Nissan embossed key and my key now sits nicely on a key ring whooo!! I thought I would share it here in case anyone else was in the same boat with snapped key fobs
In my excitement tho I did totally forget to ask if he could cut me a spare anyway as she only came with one haha! Woops I blame the flu messing with my head

Well the chap who sold me the "complete" boss kit never came back to me about the missing horn wire -_- so my fella very kindly made me a replacement using bits from the oem wheel, so the Momo is finally in Yuki! Yay!

Also after this photo he moved the turbo timer for me as it was hiding the clock and looked a bit untidy, its now under the stereo in the shelf space
Pretty damn pleased, the interior is almost perfect now and the colour scheme is becoming very obvious haha!

So, after the ball ache of trying to find somewhere in the UK that would refurb my wheels to my requirements (apparently no one will touch stainless bands across the whole of the UK lol, and no one wants to powdercoat parts of a wheel because its "too much work"!) I managed to find 2 separate local companies who will do what I want - I was going to wait until end of show season when I won't miss her so much being off the road a couple weeks - after all I havent had her long and I want to make the most of every weekend I get with her, but with JapFest looming and the wheels really being the only thing letting her down, I decided to try and get them done before her first big show!

So, my little lady has been taken round to the Mother in laws (wider drive so easier to get 4 axle stands under her!) and her wheels came off last night, tyres coming off tonight, and then I will drop the wheels round to the metal polishers Friday. Hopefully he can do it in the first part of next week, and then they will be dropped around to the body shop for part 2 which fingers crossed will be completed with enough time to get back to the tyre place and then the wheels can go back on and all in time for JapFest............ ! Fingers crossed!!!!

I am also about to purchase some Rays centre caps too, managed to find another UK company so they should arrive in good time too

whilst I wait for the wheels to return, I ordered some centre caps! I thought they were sold as singles, however they were actually pairs! D'oh!
So if anyone needs any get in touch by Friday, if not I will return them but feel it would be most helpful to offer them here first (for sale thread in the for sale section with price and details )

Soooo... with 2 weeks to go until Japfest I thought my wheels would have been done in plenty of time for a post before Japfest, but no! The 3-4 days max turned into 15 days, and I got the call that they were now finished half an hour before the last tyre fitters shut on Saturday evening! However, despite the stress I am super pleased with how they have turned out! I haven't seen many of the 57pros gramlights on any S15s, and I certainly won't see any looking like this!!

The weekend before Japfest I also painted my calipers - after much thought and photoshopping I finally settled for blue - I will paint the Nissan white (I have the paint ready lol!) But with this freak weather we have been having its been too cold to do that last little touch

Anyway, Sunday was also my first proper show with Yuki! It was freaking bitter but still a blast! There were only the 3 of us there, but Yuki loved meeting other S15s and spending the day chatting to them ...

Thank you I just thought it adds some colour to what can be quite monotone but without being ott Yeh we were the other side of the bridge to where the SXOC were, lots of people didn't know we were there apparently some people walked past the stands there thinking they were additional parking and that all the show stuff was after the bridge only!!

Thanks for the lovely comment Oreos!

New goody arrived last week thanks to Sealed Performance ... first of the engine bay bling!
Now the exterior is pretty much how I want it and the interior too, it's time to start looking at the big job under the bonnet (and I dont just mean prettifying!!)

And you can see it here beside these group of lads who had no idea what a Silvia was lol

She also went to a local high street festival where she joined a local club in the show area - here are some photos

Another close up of the wheels, I properly love them haha!
