    Update.
Tested everything below on 3 different CAS's, 4 different coil pack looms an 2 different earth locations. With a know good coil

12v on 2 pins on every coil plug.

    Good continuity to ground.

    With ignition on spin CAS,

    Spark on coil 1

    No spark on other 3.

    No power at injector 1

    12v at other injectors

Unplug injector 3, no spark at coil 1 (or any other coil)

Unplug other injectors, still no spark.

    This is really strange.

There is a test procedure for coilpacks in the workshop manual under ef&ec section!

Probably been covered already but was the ecu chipped while you were doing the work?

I know it isn't the kinda thing heard of from h-dev but any chance it could be a faulty chip or inserted wrong way around.

(I very much doubt it is this but maybe worth giving Jez a call?)

Have you checked for damaged pins on ecu connector?

Anyone local let you try there ecu in there s13? (To rule out ecu problem)
I know you have tried 2 already. With the symptons you mentioned above it could maybe be a bridged or poor solder joint on the chip.

Any additional wires spliced into ecu loom?

Have checked the loom in the cabin, all pins on plug and ecu. Could be worth a try. Cheers

Mine was ****ed for ages due to a faulty ignition pin on the ecu plug, checked by inserting a small needle into the plug to check they were all 'clamping' on the pins correctly.. worth checking!

Still no spark at cylinders 2,3 &4. Spark at cylinder 1 but only when injector 3 is plugged in. 12v
To all coil plugs and good continuity to ground.
Power to injectors 2,3 & 4 but not at 1.
    Cas
Signal is being received by ecu.

No ideas now. Hoping to send it to someone who knows CA's because I can do anymore

I have got 12v at all plugs for coil packs, but they won't spark. Seems like a signal problem but don't know what

1 pin on coil is permanent 12v
    1 is negative
    And other is 12v signal

So try with cas out and turning by hand for a 12v signal?

Got constant 12v to both pins in the coil plug.
Yep checked the ecu plugs too and all the wiring going into it again.

I am not doubting Jez or H-Dev in any way at all but i would send your ecu off to him and see if he can test it for you.

Sounds very much like a ecu/chip issue. I know you have tried 2 etc but still worth a check imho!

No one local to you with an s13 ca18det?

I know what you mean, that's why I have just assumed the ecu is fine. I would borrow my mates ecu but if either of mine were damaged due to a fault on the car I don't want to damage his too. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say.

Maybe try your ecu in your mates car?
