Its because they lack the chemistry. Although childish, the bits where they sabotaged each others cars and drove into each other made it funny and more real. This is just 3 people who hardly know each other going for a drive.
Found the last one quite boring apart from the Aston Vulcan bit and the drag race. Last weeks was way better.

It's taken all series but I genuinely enjoyed tonight's episode. Evens piece on the classic cars was even good

Let's just pray they have the good sense to a) realise that the current presenting team has plenty of strength in depth and decide not to recruit anyone else and b) make Chris Harris the lead presenter because he could carry that show all on his own!
