    exhaust isses

Hi all how's tricks? ok so i had a unbranded ebay type exhaust, with a simmons silenced decat, all fitted a treat, also have a decat that fitted lovely but was to loud, so got my self a second hand apex sensable system, lovey, so got it on the ramp to fit it , and what a pain i just wont fit nice, its like it needs a twist and to be a few inchs longer??? i made it fit with the standard cat in the end, but who wants a cat !!! bummers, so i was thinking flexi decat ??? any one else had these issues ? any help would be appreciated.

I've got an apex sensible as well, but I never had any issues with mine, fits perfectly and dead easy to take on and off.
Probably not what you wanted to hear, so sorry for commenting.
Regarding the exhaust needing to be a bit longer bit, are you using a 14 decat pipe with a 14a elbow and downpipe?

s14 and s14a decats are different lengths, so that could be it

They are as far as I know, you'd need to run a 14 downpipe with a 14 elbow and a 14 cat/decat to fit (or all 14a).

That's why I asked about the decat you have as if it will fit with the cat, but not the decat, it sounds like you have the wrong decat.

That sounds like 14a as I think the 14 should be 315mm.

Hi all its looking like the down pipes is at fault , thinking it's a s14 one not a 14a , as it seams to sit to low , and an thinking the 14a ones have a bit of a curve near the end to make them sit closer to the body ??? If you let the exhaust hang where it wants to, it sits perfect, but the down pipe sits about 2 inches lower than the rest of the exhaust, even the bracket is higher ? If any one has a photo of ther down pipe that would be fantastic, will put some pics of mine on later ,

You need s14 elbow and downpipe for it to fit I believe theres only 5mm difference in the cat/de-cat length.
I bought mine off ebay bought s14 full system up to cat and it still didn't fit I had to get the down pipe fabricated as it was touching the bulkhead think there is a lot of shit on ebay.
I bought a molex from the states 11 years ago for £180 and had no problems I suppose it's the luck of the draw.

A flexi downpipe or decat still needs to be sort of the right size, it won't take up that much gap. So it would have to be an S14a flexi dowpipe.

I made that from a s14 elbow and doenpipe to fit a s14a and used an s14a decat as its 345mm not the 315mm
