    Notching front panel

I'm currently doing a 1uz swap. Basically i wanted to know if anyone had ever cut a notch out of the front panel in order to move the top of the radiator forwards, and if they did does the bonnet still close? My bottom rad hose currently gets sandwiched between the power steering pump and my fans. So my options are either notch the front panel, or get some blow though fans, but these don't seem to be as efficient and i already have a lovely set of mishimoto fans and cowling. I only really need about 5cm at the top, so the bottom could stay where it is and it can sit at an angle.

I notched mine then braced the back edge of it with flat steel bar. I had to trim
The inside of the bonnet but closes fine now and could still use the factory catch if I still had it.
