No apologies for the hijack required.

I have to get the cambelt and water pump changed. Both MGT Racing and Abbey Motorsport have come in at similar prices. Abbey know the car but MGT are closer.

I wonder, does anyone have any experiences or feedback with either of them they can share?

Lovely colour. What are the Zeta-R's like on it?

Surprisingly compliant for an average coilover. I can't actually fault them but I've also not been on track yet. On the road they're very comfortable.

Out for a summer show, had a laugh. Looks lovely in the picture, even if it is bad quality.

Still need to do the cambelt for peace of mind. Abbey have quotes all the aux belts as well so I'll have some AC back shortly. Then it'll be off to convert it to R134a from the R12 in it.

Car needs paint as well, it's a bit rough around the edges in places. General consensus seems to be to stay with the OEM colour for best resale value. May paint the splitter.

    I like that Ryan.

Here's a picture of my friends R32 in the same colour for inspiration.

MGT and Abbey both worked on my RB30 back in the day, I'd go back to Abbey again without hesitation and speak with them quite often about various things due to the number of cars they work on :-) I'd recommend them without hesitation if you've narrowed it just to the two of them.

RK Tuning also know the RB26 and R32 inside out and back to front, and Ron is a nice chap to deal with :-)

MGT are £686 including aux belts. Abbey are £565 including aux belts, a whopping £120 difference.

Unfortunately, Abbey are 100 miles away slap bang on the exact opposite side of the M25 to me, so that's a disaster journey. MGT are 50 miles up the M1/M6 so much better to get to.

Abbey know of the car, it's been there before.

Both are massively knowledgeable. Both have great cars to their names. Fack.

I had never heard of them mate, but thank you for the heads up.

I ended up going to Abbey, they were really great and friendly. Got done in a morning and was able to chill there, had a good natter, saw some mega cars, had a brew and was on my way home by 2pm. Unfortunately, thanks to crashes on the M25 it ended up being a 5 hour journey home!

But she's all belted up now. Next really is to wait for the oil interval to come up and then change every fluid. Then get started on the underside to future proof and find something to replace the Rotas.

    But the plate is back

Still so jealous. Would have loved to have gotten one but I really couldn't justify it. I will on a GTR in the future.

Chaser is feeding my 6cly love for now.

Scratch the itch Rubix, scratch it asap. I've already been offered more than I paid for my car while not even looking to sell, so they're going the right way and it's a lot of fun to own.

Though I have lots to get through to bring this one fully up to standard, but that's what time is for.

Edit - just seen you have your Chaser. Yes

Cracking colour as well Ryan! I'd love a 32 at some point, Proper hero car imo.

    Any plans to track it?
