ca18det rough idle no revs
hi guys - started my ca18det for the first time today in two months (always started first crank ran smooth)
started but runs extremely lumpy then cuts out after 10 seconds or so - doesn't rev at all from putting throttle on)
car had old fuel in but well below zero on gauge - put 8£ of fresh fuel in before i started it
tried easy start made no difference if not worse
now doesn't start
any tips?
took pipe off there's fuel, spark at no 1 cylinder
Will check the following next time
spark across all cylinders, fuel pressure, more fuel, compression test, check ecu for errors
What else can i check please? nothing has changed since last time been stood in barn

Mine wouldn't start after a couple months before, turned out i left a vac hose off the inlet (the nipple behind tb on side of plenum)
Check all boost and vac lines are securely connected.
Possibly flooded it? Take fuel pump fuse out, crank it then if it fires put fuse back in.
Have you done anything to it whilst it hasn't been started?
Unlikely but try unplug maf (car will idle but not rev past 2k)

As above, probably flooded, if you don't drive them and just keep starting them every so often S13's seem to flood.

I see Barn and thought of MAF wires, or any part of the loom leading to the ecu tbh have been munched by rats mice miniature horses
I guessed MAF wires as they won't start with it unplugged, as well as the stuff in 2 posts above me

iirc you can have it running and unplug MAF and it wont rev over 2.5/3k revs ,but if its unplugged then try start it it won't fire up
its been a while since I've had a running 200 but remember that from years back with mine
I see barn and just thought of chewed wires for some reason

It runs!!!
Not sure what it was, combination of old fuel extremely low,
Change fuel filter, plugs, fresh fuel
Think the culpret was the ecu plug though just gave it a wiggle, had it before where it's ran like shit or not started because of it

ecu plug not pushed fully on can cause many weird things and prime suspect,I once had no dashboard live power and no fuel pump prime iirc
when I was quickly swapping ecu's to test another fault, easily done if it's just slightly not pushed on fully square,
I do the bolt up then press both ends of the multi-plug on now to make sure
