It's that time again. Currently funds only allow around a weeks work every month but progress has been good.

    Anyway

    Nice work on this mate

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Unfortunately I am only bankrolling lol, Dal has been doing all the work.

I am well impressed given that I can only afford to pay him for 1wk a month.

that shell will be super stiff and solid when Dals done, then the running gear will make a nice road cruiser or drag car
stateside it's the cheapest engine to rebuild and good tuning parts are well priced imo, camshaft swaps alone make huge gains

the stock engine is so de-tuned the gains from bolt on power packs from Edelbrock and other company's using modern tech
it can over double the stock power (in bhp),the huge gains in torque are more impressive
just getting the parts here is the killer with import taxes & customs rip off charges, but may get lucky finding used parts here on the 'bay

endless parts to improve the gearbox as well, the parts can be sourced here (my old garage can get anything for an autotrans)
torque convertors can be modified over here to your specs as well, like higher stall speeds and stronger internals

if you leave the gearbox as is for now ,at least consider getting a big surface to air trans fluid cooler,
possibly with an over temp cooling fan for when sitting in traffic , you can't over cool the fluid
a good sized cooler can lower temps enough the gearbox life span is over double what it can do in stock form with the standard cooler

if you need any transmission parts PM me as I can get trade/cost of the parts and maybe drop them down to dals

There are a couple of drag pages on FB that are a reasonable source of yankee parts. Thats where i got the box. Its got a manual gearbody (sure thats what he called it) in so i/Dal will need to figure out whats needed to make that work properly.

I do need a torque convertor, thats 1 thing i know I havent got yet.

    Thanks muchly for the offer
