My full s14a n/a to turbo project thread
Hi Guys and Girls,
I thought I would finally get round to detailing my build thread from the past 12 months,
I imported the car (My first JDM car) from Japan in June 2016 from Budget holdings and I used OPJP as the document translator,
The process of importing myself took forever, (around 6 Months in total) I would recommend it price wise but in every other way it was frustrating.
I have listed loads of photos of the build, feedback is always much appreciated!
The day it arrived at Southampton docks June 2016
I spent around 3 months looking for the right car to come up - this one came with a genuine origin racing front bumper and genuine vertex side skirts and a genuine kook rear wing.
The car was an N/A SR20DE with 70,000km on the clock, undrifted, clean with some lacquer peel on the rear quarter.
I got the car home and began making it mine.
I had a vision in mind and I began with the subtle things such as painting the front grill
Crystal clear side repeaters
Sprayed Strut Brace and horns
[B]Hydraulic bonnet struts
[B]New Double din radio
Keeping with my colour scheme - I bought some Japan Racing JR18 17" alloy wheels with Toys Proxes TR1 Tyres
The car was looking better already (2 weeks from landing date)
I then set about getting the bodywork right, there was blemishes all over
I fitted a large Aluminium Radiator
Big Gay Wing
Once the bodywork was smooth - I booked in in for a full pearl white metallic blue vinyl wrap - courtesy of Bossdog in Redhill, I also asked for my front and rear lights to be tinted.
I got the car sitting a bit lower by adjusting the KTS suspension that came on the car
I then set about abusing the exhaust - as I've always been told - Size matters
The date is now July 16th and the car is road legal!
[B]I had clutch issues - So I went for a Comp Clutch organic White bunny and lightened fly as the car was a daily - (60 Miles a day)
I gave the car a full service
[B]The car came out for its first local meet in July 2016
The first show for the car at Japanese Performance Show 2016
Trax Show in October 2016
I was happy with the bodywork at this point and was about to begin on the engine!
I will update you with my engine build shortly

Making a nice job of it - just need to get rid of that arch gap!
How did you find the conversion in terms of wiring? I have an n/a S14 ill be doing the same to, was it just the engine harness you needed from the DET?
