    Photobucket

It looks like photobucket has completely screwed alot of us, now you have to pay to use external hosting.

What other sites are people using, i cant see me re loading all the photos in my build thread anyway. (Not that ive paid up this year mind you)

Yep. I reckon they are using it to shed a stack of freeloaders.

No one in the their right mind is going to pay $500 a year to be allowed to put a link into this website.

It could be the final nail in SXOCs coffin as a forum TBH.

There has been another thread on this subject. Do a search.

    I've started using POSTIMAGE.

ah i searched "photobucket" and couldn't see anything. yep that will put a few people off, better off starting again ratheer than trying to upload all the images. So many good threads will be lost

Some people have started to write scripts and stuff to get the images in threads back.
Not sure exactly what they're doing but I've seen it work.

    photobucket have basically killed forums.

I was google image searching for ideas on how to make something yesterday and every link I would click on contained dead photobucket images.

I use myalbum.com, so far so good. It used to be completely free and i could create as many albums as I wanted, but now you're limited to 4 to 5 albums but unlimited photo's (i think). But I got to keep all of my old albums, so far it's not a bad deal I'd say.

I'd recommend Flickr, can't go wrong with 1tb of free storage. The android app aint the best, but it works. I personally take most of my photos with a dslr and upload them on the computer so it works mint. Try it out, see how you find it.

I use Flikr, I think photobucket was kept going so long because the app was fairly straightforward and allowed easy posting of images when using your phone.

Personally I don't use my phone to browse forums, never found it very easy.

I can't work out how to use the Android App to get the bb code link copied / ready for pasting into a forum. Anyone?

It let's you copy the link but doesn't have the presets for bb code with different sizes. I personally do any thread write ups on the computer. I mean you could just type [IMG] [/IMG] and paste the link, it'll probably be in full res but it's manageable. You could try use the desktop website on Chrome but it's probably a faff.

I tried using the Flickr website on Chrome on my phone and it was pretty usable, just click request desktop site and then you can easily get your links.

Yeah I'll have to do that and just ditch off the app. App is a PITA anyway as it doubles up all your photos in gallery.
