We used to see about 15-20 pages of new threads a day, you could say that

At one point I was positive we had more technical knowledge on certain cars than the owners clubs themselves, and this is still the best repository of 200SX information Ive ever come across, the forum just isnt as lively as it used to be. There are lifelong friendships that have been made here (I can think of at least 7 members weddings Ive been to and I had a few at mine) but we all get on, move on and probably have to actually do some work which doesnt help

I think people will look back in 20 years from now and remember the halcyon days of rwd petrol engined cars that could be tuned and made to go sideways, when other forums existed other than fakebook and people meet up in pub car parks to look at one another cars rather like people look back on the ace cafe days of ton up bikes. They'll share pictures of yore with their virtual friends then go to bed alone in their parents house wishing they had a place of their own, a real girlfriend not a sexbot and a 200 instead of the ford Ka rental self-driver that chauffeurs them to the dole office so they can prove they are available for work should any come available ! You youngsters are mighty ****ed by the internet. I'm so sorry !

Its something we (the staff) noticed a fair while ago, a lot of the dropoff is due to FB but theres a lot of other aspects too, not least that a 200SX used to be someones pride and joy, its now a 2nd, 3rd car or even just a drift slag. ITs interesting for me as Im on the 350Z forum and also babybmw (1 series bimmers) - 350Z is starting to drop off now, babybmw is still gooing strong but 90% of people posting have 140's or M2's, there arent a lot of cars more than 4-5 years.

Both forums lack people getting their hands dirty or treading a new modification path, babybmw is definitely worse than 350Z for it and for general discussion about non car stuff FB is the way these days. There might be a return to forums but I doubt it TBH.
I'm on The370 forum. They are much more friendly than 300zx.co.uk.

Like most stuff online these days, those doing the most of the pedalling of the info, have never actually experienced what they're preaching on. A quick Google Search gave them some info, from someone who like them had never done the job before, but they're all passing it off as Gospel anyway.
Unfortunately. A lot of the newer owners of 200s are spackers. I had one S14a owner outside Tesco challenge me to a race. Because......He was a spaz.. the car was nice though

Really great chat here guys, I feel much better now haha !!

I use to post project threads and met tons of people online who I'd then bump into at drift days and even in the forum days 7 years ago I was abit of a hermit.

I'm using imgur to host photos but I can't seem to view and share links as thumbnails I have to scroll through huge pictures one by one.

And where is everyone hanging out on Facebook?

There are so many groups, it's just hard to know where to look anymore !

I'm 32 now, and having a kid, going back to uni on the side, I just don't have time to spend hours on Instagram figuring it all out lol

I come in here now and again but unfortunately there's little here to read that's new.
The UK Stagea page on FB is very very good though. Small membership, closed page and owner/enthusiasts. Always people on hand for any tech queries and the odd car being broken for spares now and then.
Helps that its an unusual car though I guess.
I think forums have had their day now. A bit like porno mags in the newsagents

Edit: Just noticed I've been here for 14 years!!! This place has been good to me over the years

This isn't the case with an iPhone? I haven't found a limit to how many I can do per post.

no we have crossed wires, i can do lots of photos in a post

but when uploading to the post, i can only select one photo at a time, if you have 10 photos to put in your post, it takes ages.

Ah yea! Agreed. Yet to find an easier way post PB though.
