    Crank angle sensor

    My crank sensor catches the cam bolt heads when i tighten the bolts? loosen them and hay presto quiet again
    Anybody know why??

    Are there marks on the back of the sensor?

    Usually knocks from CAS means it's not correctly lined up with the cam. There are 2 dowels on bolts between the sprockets that align the upper belt cover to the head. If either is missing it's not possible to fit the CAS correctly. The tolerance of CAS to cam alignment is the fit of the CAS in the cam nose.

    Take the top cover off - are you missing the dowels?

    Are all the bolts in it, in the right order?

    Nightmare getting it off, as its front wheel drive but its off. Dowels are in and all the allen bolts.
    Also tried another cas before i posted and that was same.
    Weird

    its all good now thanks guy's the cover wasn't on the dowels properly.
