This needs to spread like wildfire, thank you good sir!

It was becoming quite a chore opening each image individually to view it

Fix was out ages ago, linked in the original thread about a day or two after it came into effect.

Doesn't always work, but it's better than nothing.

Yea if it helps it helps

No idea on how long PB will continue to hobble along though, if/when they do go alot of pictures will be gone forever

It's highly unlikely, they are a total show of shite in all fairness, incredibly poorly run for a very long time.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were just sorting things out in view of selling the entire company to one of the larger players.

I just had a quick google and apparently Apple doesn't allow anything that uses downloadable code (such as chrome web extensions). But I don't own apple stuff so I'd imagine the best way to find would be to give it a go

I'm just as suspicious of random Firefox extensions as I am of Photobucket's intentions.
I'll give it go anyway. Here goes.

    Well........that worked immediately.
I can see my own old threads and others' project threads with Photobucket pics showing as they originally did.

I guess this will be a shortlived thrill, but it's certainly worked for tonight

Are the forum admins thinking about downloading all pictures off Photobucket and hosting them locally??

I know Cliosport.net have just done that, took a few days but they now have all the important pictures from build threads and how-to guides downloaded from PB and hosted on their own servers.

sounds like a massive amount of work and not to mention the storage needed?

For some reason I've not been able to download the whole albums in PB, keeps throwing up an error. I had to click each photo and save it individually which was fun, at least now I have them in one file and uploaded to flicker, just need to paste in the new codes to fix my thread. I've only got a 8 pages though so not bad at all.
