New Member - Sound Deadening!
Hey guys,
My 200 has now been completely stripped and has gone in for complete welding works:
- Complete Sills
- Front Tubs
- 8 point Custom Rollcage
- Heel Raisers
- Seam welding
- rear under lower quarter rust repair
- Sunroof Delete
Im completely having the car sandblasted and painted inside and out a midnight purple. Since the car has been and will remain completely stripped im looking at options of preserving the floor to stop it being scrayched or damaged in use. Your feet will be on the heel raisers so its not to much a problem but the heel raisers will be painted purple also.
My thinking was to completely paint the interior purple abut along the line of the bottom of the door, have the floor (minus the heel raiser) painted in a rubberised sound deadener and sealent.
Is this a good idea?
Will it dry or will it stay tacky?
What are the good brands?
What are your experiences?
and
Am i going about this the wrong way? is there an indistrial scratch proof laquer to do the job for me?
Cheers,
Sam
