    Hi from Tewkesbury Gloucestershire

Hi a new/old user here previously from 2008 when I had a ps13 Silvia (h630ejr) if anyone knows of the car still?
Well many years have past and I've had various cars since but always missed a s body so I took the plunge and bought a S14a in emerald green off a very nice chap who is also a member on here as I see the old for sale post.
anyways thought I would say hi and see if any groups are close to me in Gloucestershire and also if there are any decent tuning garages near to me who dyno tune cars as it's got a Horsham stage 1a tune but it's apparently running quite lean which I would like to get sorted, any advice would be very welcome matt

Welcome, we have a few members in Gloucester who will hopefully be able to answer your questions

The h-Dev chips are normally quite rich so if yours is lean something is definitely not right.

Can you tune the Horsham maps at all?? Or are they non map tinkerable??
I'm only saying it's running lean as when the previous owner took it for a mot the tester said it's emissions were perfect if not lean the car also still has its cat fitted,so is it the norm to be like that??

They have been known to pass emissions for sure, has it had a new fuel pump or still Oem?

The chips can be mapped but only by h-dev

    Welcome back

User Blacker on here is in glos and knows a very good garage / tuner maybe worth giving him a pm.

Do you have an afr gauge?

But as chris said lean Issue is usually weak pump or possible failing fpr

I'm going to wip the plugs out and have a look,it's got a hfp255 fuel pump(new this year) no afr gauge but it's got a greedy spec-b profec 2 boost controller(not to sure if that would give afr in the different modes you can select through? Are Horsham maps good as I was considering tuning the car upto 350bhp I know this will require a different turbo, rad, clutch, injectors and engine management,my question is is it worth going the Horsham route for stage 3/3a or is it better to go else where and who??

    Cool

Well I whipped the plugs out over today gave them a clean up then went out for a quick road test then took the plugs back out and the colour is spot on so I'm happy with that the only thing now is the gear box has sprung a leak, tbh I was kind of expecting a few niggles as the car has been dry stored for 7 years so I'm guessing there is a few perished/gone hard seals, forgot how good these cars are to drive I'm going to park her up for the winter now and drag out in the spring ready to go to Horsham to get a few bhp tweeks and a good check over
