Urgent help, what is this behind my battery? (Trying to fit FMIC)

I’m trying to fit an FMIC but wondering if I need this thingy behind the battery? Or what actually is it?

You can bung it, google pigeon mod and you’ll see how. It stops the gassed being released from the turbo though so some people don’t like doing it in case they ruin the turbo

No worries, if you do bung a broom handle and a bolt fit perfectly

Not a bov... It's a recirculation valve. Bov vents to atmosphere Just remove all of the piping to it, and simply the complete set up. Makes a funny "pigeon" noise too
