    CA18DET forge help

Pulling out the ca for a rebuild as the bottom end and compression has went.

What would be the most crucial components to forge.

    Thanks

    Depends on your power goals.

At least id get forged pistons, arp rodbolts.

If youre going for more than 320ish id get pistons, rods, arp bolts, mhg and arp headstuds.

Also the main thing you need to consider is management and mapping from a decent reputable tuner.

decent rods come with ARP bolts fitted.

recommended spec depends what numbers you are chasing?

for 300hp I would just use standard internals and a MHG (even stock head bolts) and just skim the surfaces to ensure a decent seal.

And if you do get ARP head studs the one above the water pump needs to be shortened or multiple washers otherwise it torques on the thread and not the head.
