    Another car cleaning thread

So had a go at giving the Roadster a proper clean.

First off was a prewash with Autobrite Magifoam. Left it on for 30 minutes.

Then a 2 bucket method wash with Autofinesse Lather.

Then after a Machine clay, went over it with Poorboys white diamond show glaze. I know it has filler in it. But a few stone chips had treatment. Then a couple of coats of Poorboys EX sealant and finally 3 coats of Poorboys Natty Blue liquid Carnauba wax. Gives a real deep shine, wet look and gives the pearl flake a lift.

Certainly has that rare shine a lot of white cars fail to achieve.

I’ve always wondered whether layering waxes works or if the act of application removes the previous layer.

Clay Pad for my DA polisher. So much easier than doing it by hand

It does. Used to take me hours to clay a car, now takes 10-15 minutes and the result is probably better than doing it by hand. I think that is how I got white to shine

I wash mine with a bucket and sponge in ten mins, or at the garage... why?
Because almost immediately after cleaning it the dam things dirty again.
Just driving to the supermarket will get road grime on it, bird shit is a constant threat as well.

Give it a good polish and wax. You can then simply snow foam and rinse instead of hand washing it

So not completely happy with Poorboys Natty Blue. Turns out it is a bit soft. So going to do it again with what’s considered the best. Collinite 476S. Going to need to use the DA polisher to buff it as it sets so hard

I’ve been watching Larry Kossila’s videos on YouTube. Ammonyc.com of course it is an advert for his business. But he does the videos in such a way just to tell you how to do it yourself
