CA18DET low boost

Hi everybody,i wanna ask if anyone knows something,my engine does not make good boost,the car have stage 3 setup and can't make more than 1.1(now make even less,0.6/7/8 boost when i close boost controler and if i open it,it makes 0.3,0.4.I check for boost leaks and i dont have any,i use garett 2560(t28 from s14),i remember with my old stock turbo it makes more,what can it be?Something with T28 or something else?Hope to understand me becouse my english is not very good.

Exhaust leak between the turbo and manifold or between manifold and head maybe?

Could also be that your wastegate is cracked on the t28 allowing for gases to bypass the turbine

Hmm,i need to put down the turbine if its westgate,but how can i check for exhaust leak?If it mean something when it starts to make boost i hear turbo whistles,dont know is this normal?

Just remove the elbow and check if the hot side of the turbo is OK. You can normally hear an exhaust leak.

You can check turbo shaft play too?

I think turbo shaft its ok,when i touch it,it didnt play,well i didnt hear anything not normal in exhaust maybe if its leak i will see some smoke,i will remove downpipe to see if its something wrong.

Try running with the vac line off the actuator just go careful as the wastegate wont open

I have cracks like that on mine too, but smaller.

That might be the problem, although I think you have a gasket leak somewhere

Ok i will change gaskets but this cracks how they can be fixed?

They wont cause that much boost loss!

Probs already covered but have you checked your timing

Are you actually removing the vac line from actuator or turning off boost controller?

No..

Remove the hose from the wastegate completely and watch your boost
