S14a running bad - Urgent help needed

    Hi all.

I have a s14a which has got a running issue.

The car misfires when driving and the car struggles to get up revs or get past 30 mph.

The car just had a engine swap at the garage for a s14 engine which was running great in last car. Sadly I ran out of time so had to remove the car to get it on the road but now I have this issue to sort!

Old engine was running split fires and z32 as setup was extensive but garage put setup back to stock. Also had to swap a couple of bits over due to s14 engine components being different.

I have tried changing the maf and the amplifier.

How long does fuel last? It's been sitting for 6+ months.

If you’ve swapped out maf from a z32 etc did you change the ecu back to standard or have the map changed?

Coil pack loom earthed at the back of the block? Checked your plugs?

If it had a z32, it must have been mapped for it. If you swapped back to a stock maf without remapping then the fueling will be off?

If it’s using the ecu from before then yeah it’ll be off. Op said it’s all gone to a stock set up.

Could be the knock sensor I guess.

Does the car rev freely out of gear but struggle when moving?
