Long story short, recently I installed a T28 (journal bearing) on my ca18det which was in perfect condition, no side to side or in & out play. I fitted the turbo along with some braided lines from kinugawa which has a 1.5mm oil restrictor in the banjo bolt going to the turbo.
Come to discover only around 500 miles later (if that) that my turbo now has EXTREME in/out play but no side to side. The wheel doesn't touch the compressor housing as of yet.
Theres is also no smoke from the exhaust and the car boosts perfectly fine, however im baffled as to why this has happend..
Could someone shine some light into this mystery? It's a **** take that I'll have to rebuild/buy another turbo now!!
