    Juddering whilst under acceleration...

Hi all, I was driving my S13 today and for some reason when I was accelerating it seems to be juddering (Not accelerating smoothly), Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks

Fuel or spark issue most likely.

Do you have an uprated fuelpump? Have you changed fuel filter lately?
What mods do you have? And what plugs you using etc.
Mine had a similar issue and it was the coilpack loom.

Hi Pointz, I haven't changed the fuel pump or fuel filter, It's not long been serviced and the spark plugs are fine, I haven't modified the the engine at all (only done 68,000 miles) the car is Completely stock apart from BC Racing coil overs fitted, You are right maybe it could be the coil pack loom, Also do you think it could be the Mass Air flow sensor? Thanks

Id uprate your fuelpump as 1st port of call tbh.

It may of only done 68k but its how many years old now! Pump is a more likely culprit than coilpacks or maf

For the cost of a walbro fuelpump you may aswell rule it out and futureproof.

You will either need to leave the pump cradle o-ring in an airing cupboard for a day or order a new one!

Check turbo for axial play. A failing turbo can put oil in the inlet system and this will cause plug fouling under load. Run engine in neutral at 2000-25000rpm for few min and check for smoke. (I filled the MOT shed)
