    downpipe help

i have a 14A elbow and downpipe as a result it hangs pretty low.

someone on FB mentioned the 14 downpipe is shorter, is it likely that it will bring my exhaust slightly closer to the body helping with clearance?

S14A elbow and S14A downpipe is the right combination. Same for S14 elbow and S14 downpipe. Should fit on a S15 no issues, but u need the right combinations.

Is it possible you have an S14A elbow with an S14 downpipe?

The S14a has a short elbow and a long downpipe (to fit the extra cat).

S14 is the other way around.

I thought they all worked out the same size if you kept matching sets

    short-short will leave you short.
    long-short will fit.
    short-long will fit.
Not sure about long-long. Either it just won't fit or it will leave you with a low exhaust.

Could it be that you have the long bit from a 14 and the long bit from a 14a ?

If you have a few inches of space between your downpipe and the chassis it sounds like something is wrong. An s14 downpipe or elbow may work if yours is that far off.

what manifold do you have? some china spec ones put the turbo in a different spot. mixing and matching china stuff is a pain, as there is no real standard to where they 'should' put the 3 bolt flange.

what engine mounts do you have? Ca ones are a different height to Sr ones.

I didn’t think you could mix and match due to the different angle of the flanges

Are S15 engine mounts different to S14 mounts ? Could it be that the SR sits lower in 15 than a 14 ?
