Decat with shotgun box noise level

Does anyone how if a decat exhaust with shotgun is over 105db?

i fitted a 3 inch turbo back with decat no silencer to speak of until the back bazuka bit. It was so loud it lasted 2 days before it came off and sounded absolute plop! You would ping the sound test driving into the car park imo.

fit a decat silencer if i was you (which is what i did and was still around 98db)

I only ask as I'm running 3" decat with shotgun and 105 is the noise limit for skidding. Might have to get a silencer put in then

I'd imagine it would fail, nur specs have been known to be around that level I think and they have a silencer

i ran 3" turbo back to shot gun tips. not a single silencer in it. read 102db at Cadwell park static at around 3.5k rpm. obviously its much louder under load when driving but i wasn't pulled into the pits and told off. also ran it on the ring and again wasn't told off at all. i got it done with a vband join just before the backbox/tips and also had a quieter backbox made up (approx 90db) so i could swap them over in a couple mins without having to faff about with gaskets etc.

Might be able to get away with bungs then and just deal with the slight performance loss. See what happens
