    VOIP Suppliers

I know we have lots of technology types on the forum.

Can you tell me any true global voip providers you have used, I don't mean manufacturers such as Cisco/Avaya/Mitel/etc, but the partners who host and run these systems as a managed service, more like Dimension Data, Verizon, CGi and so on.

Am having a lot of trouble with one and need to look at different options.

Used Voiplicity originally who were pretty good, they then got bought out/merged with TwistedPair who were pretty dire TBH - lots of breaks in service, weird pricing and tech support who didnt know their arse from their elbow.

Now with 8x8, the service is very consistent, hardware and software very configurable but customer service is pretty poor, it took me 4 days to order a new handset this week.

Thanks Gents, will look into these. Looking for one hosted data centre per continent, about 20k end points over 45 countries. Reduces the amount of players somewhat.

    (Am already trying Gartner)

Ideally looking for UC but will probably end up running Lync/SFB over a VOIP system to handle gateways, SIP trunks, handsets, analogue gateways etc.

We run our own Cisco environment although BT were our deployment/project leads...
Cisco Unified Communications Manager is evil, really really hard to work unless your a 24x7 egghead.

Thanks, we already have an account team from Di Data and have used them in the past for various installations.

Am more looking for the VoIP system only, we manage Lync ourselves, someone who can host a data centre in Europe, North America, Asia(Japan pref) and South America to host the servers and SIP trunks for each region, about 500 sites in total across those regions.

Won't mention the current supplier but we are less than impressed and looking to change.

How does that compare to previous Cisco? We use Cisco Call Manager voip only with lync on top as the UC and the Cisco voice parts seems one of the best voip we have, we also use avaya, mitel, siemens, unify.

Hmm i cant really comment on that as not only is voip not my main draw, but i dont know what was used previous.
One of my big gigs is video conferencing, andi can tell you right now that Ciscos / Tandberg management system (TMS) is like having an abortion with a coat hanger.

Cisco stuff does not appear to be very user friendly (the Avia switches we used to run were miles easier to use), its also costs an arm/leg/kidney/first born and weekly hump of your wife for the licenses which hook you in and rape your arse dry for subsequent years.

I is not a Cisco fanboy.
