    Chainsaw accidents

Had a bit of a kickback today. Using a Husqvarna 440 with an 18 inch bar. Sawing through a 4 foot wide silver birch trunk. Saw kicked back and well I will leave you to see the results

    Always use safety gear

They can still kick! I used to sell them and I always promoted safety gear and that’s a prime example! Did the chain brake not engage?!

Was my fault. I'd left it with a friend to sharpen. I'm not sure if he finished went down to pick it up when he wasn't there. Didn't check the tensioner. Tensioner came off, bar and chain came off and hit me in the head

You are a very lucky man.

Did you poo yourself or at least let out a little pee....

My old man put a tree through high tention wires. Brought them all down on top of himself with blue flashes arcing blacked out a town. Lucky man not to fry himself.

I have seen a few close calls with them. At lest u had ppe.

The real thing is. My girl saved my life. I wasn’t wearing the helmet when I started. No idea why I always wear it
