    Lambda sensor advise

    Hi guys,

i keep failing on emissions and narrowed it down to the lambda sensor.

Im looking into buying a new one and looked up different pages/brands.
Now the genuine Nissan ones are more expensive but if i compare it to Bosch ones etc. they simply look different (pins that connect).
I cant find my old one to compare, somewhere in the shed so cant double check myself.

Does someone have a picture or can tell me which is the correct one so i wont buy the wrong one?
Also: If you know of a homepage/place where to get a good/cheap one, please feel free to let me know also!

jap import, SR20DET if that helps.
    Thanks all!

Bosch or NGK are the main suppliers, isn't there a part number on your current sensor you can search for?

i cant find the old one, i put it somewhere in the shed and no clue where otherwise i would double check anyway

    I found this one online:
    BOSCH
    Article №: 0 258 005 726
    Lambda Sensor

but the pins look different to other ones on ebay for example.

    Generic eBay pictures perhaps?

You should be able to get the same sensor from most motor factors, they'd let you inspect it or at least have a decent image you can look at.

s14A has a longer wire than an s14 lambda. im 99% sure they have the same amount of wires/plugs though.

No problem. That’s the one I use in my S14. Don’t waste your time with cheap universal ones from a motor factors. They never last!

I really struggled to get one for my 14a from anywhere but Nissan so I bought a universal 3 wire bosch one and reused the connector but I guess you don’t have that still

Bosch is a decent enough brand, its not too cheap either so will probably get one of them today i think I havent found anything from Nissan here in Ireland, hard enough to get part of them

Bosch would be suitable but I would be wary of any others.

Nissan is fairly useless when it comes to these silvias. I worked there for 10 years and a lot of the time they couldn’t dO much for me.

If you cant organise a new one in time for your NCT then I have a barely used one here that I could sell. It only done 30minutes on the dyno.

Chances are the Nissan one is just a re-branded Bosch sensor, they usually are.
