    help please

i have just had the headgasket done on my s13 (ca18det) but now there seems to be alot of pressure in the coolant system.
when i drove it back (25 min drive) both rad hoses was solid with pressure, let it cool done took the rad cap off , rev the engine for a while then once i let of the throttle the coolant would start squirting out of the radiator, not just a little over flow it was around 6" fountain .

    any advice would be great

take it back to where you had it done. sounds like you have a knackered head gasket or a cracked head.

Sounds like a big combustion leak
Why was the gasket changed in the first place ?

i had it changed as when i was at high revs the pressure would build up and the temp would rise , when i decelerate the pressure would drop back to normal.

now its in reverse, meaning the pressure builds when i decelerate

    They botched the headgasket job.

Was the head skimmed and pressure tested?

take it back as clearly not been tested properly before you collected the car, the initial fault could have been as simple as a stuck thermostat
did they do some tests before the HG change or just do as you asked and changed the HG?
now it reads as they have created another more serious fault, either way you paid good money and it's not fixed
problem now could be the won't accept they are at fault and they go down the route of the head or block is cracked and you need pay more money
your only grounds are it is doing something completly different after they worked on it

due to the overheating problems i had before, i had removed the thermostat, no problem taking it back and getting it sorted,
the gasket was done due to pressure build up while drifting

They didn't fit a MHG did they? They are notorious for leaking.
